This nearly 100-year-old cedar chest was entrusted to us with a simple request, preserve the natural beauty but remove decades of smoke and pet damage.
We carefully stripped and sanded the full piece by hand, removing layers of varnish, tar and time to reveal the natural cedar beneath. After custom matching and filling in the cracks and imperfection, we applied a clear varnish to let the warm, natural tones and grain shine through.
Every step of this project honored the craftsmanship and history of this family heirloom, ensuring it will continue to tell its story and hold memories for generations to come.
